Tip of the Week #181 – Check the Weather Forecast When You Travel
Senior Consultant Dennis André Thomsen braved the frozen climes of the northeastern U.S. for this week’s tip.
This week being on site with a customer for their upcoming Go-Live with PrintVis, a massive forecast snowstorm went over land. This in itself is no big deal, and is actually to be expected for the place and time of year.
I had of course brought warm clothes, and really had packed responsibly – so far so good. The only thing I didn’t check, but rather took for granted, was that a rental car in the winter period, in this place, would in fact have tires fit for the environment – boy were we in for a surprise. It’s no fun driving on fresh snow and ice, with temperatures of -15C / 6F, on tires fit for summer. So if you travel to a wintery place, and rent a car, be sure to request one with tires to fit the season.
Thank you Dennis!
