The “digital dashboard” approach to viewing and analyzing big data sets – or more specifically, KPI’s (key performance indicators) is far from new. For most software management systems it’s more of a given, so that people can view all manner of data relevant to their job roles – at a glance, in colorful chart displays that reveal trends and help to optimize an organization.
With PrintVis 2018, PrintVis Charts are available and accessible from the Role Center, and easily customized to suit a person’s job role.
PrintVis Charts offer basic sets of statistics, graphically-displayed on the Role Center in a variety of chart styles. Each of the presented Charts can be filtered by an individual user, to display their personal view preferences, such as one’s Posted Hours or list of Cases by Order Type, Product Group, Responsible User and more.
You can simply click on any part of the presented data (column, pie, point, line etc.) and open a window displaying the detailed data behind the presentation.
For example, if you have filtered on Planning/Scheduling data for a Capacity Group, presented in a bar-chart view, clicking one of the groups will give you a direct overview of the data presented within the set filters.
You can use the chart view for scheduling – by displaying the planned hours for specific machines or specific people/departments. You can filter down to specific types of orders, specific products or the current status of in-house work (e.g. how many jobs on the shop floor currently have a status of “delayed”?).
