Tip of the Week #110 – Calculate Two Different Paper Items on One Machine
Senior Consultant Jörg Hüner brings us this week’s tip.
Is it in any way possible to have two different types of paper in a calculation for which both have the ITEM TYPE = PAPER?
Yes – just create a second Material/Item line on the Calculation Unit for the paper. Only keep in mind not to use formulas 14/15, which will pick the paper from the Job Item. You could also create a custom formula to get the quantity and then just select the needed paper.
In my setup I’m using a lookup formula to get the quantity from the line above.
Result after manually selecting a paper item on the second line:
You could also use the Consumables Table on the Job Item for the additional paper, but this would require a formula report that knows which item to pick from there:
Thank you Jörg!
