Tip of the Week #60 – Setting Up Dashboard Views in NAV

PrintVis Tip of the Week #60

Sales Manager John Mullins has this week’s tip about customizing your dashboard view in Dynamics NAV.

“Dashboards” have been the buzz in the software world for quite a while now.   To have key information at your fingertips, easily displayed and easy to understand has become a necessity, and NAV gives you that ability within its core system – even more so with the great new Power BI tool that is available.

Not only can you customize what information you want to have in dashboards, you can display it in various styles, so you can pick and choose not only the data but also the personal style in which it is presented.

We were working on gathering some charts for the Drupa booth (don’t forget to stop by at the show) and were impressed with the different look and feel that you can get within the system (and we had fun debating which we liked best).

Once here, simply click on the “Edit” field when the correct user is highlighted,  then open the “Preferences” down arrow:

And you can see you have a large variety to choose from:

Have fun customizing –  and I look forward to seeing some of you in a few weeks in Germany!

Thank you John!
