Commercial Assistant Student Nominates her Odder-based Company.

Christina Ranegaard Thomsen was so enthusiastic about the quality of her student traineeship with NovaVision Software that she nominated them for Traineeship Company of the Year award. Upon review, the Danish Principals of Schools of Commerce and Industry quite agreed with her, and now the company is the local winner in Odder, Denmark.

This purpose of this award is to highlight the role and contribution companies have on the types of studies which involve both school and company practice.

Celebration with a Wine Tasting

NovaVision celebrated the award last week with a company outing to a local wine tasting. A more formal celebration will take place when The Skanderborg-Odder Center for Education marks this award with a reception and the gift of a work of art made by local artist tomorrow.

As the local award winner, the company is now the contender for the award on national level, which takes place on November 28th in Copenhagen. PrintVis/NovaVision offers print-specific software built on and certified for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. They have 250+ installations around the world of various sizes and in are over 30 countries.

Christina Ranegaard Thomsen started on the HGV school in Skanderborg in 2011 and will be a fully-trained Commercial Assistant next summer. “I nominated the company because it is a wonderful and different place to train with fantastic colleagues,” the 25-year old says. “As a student with NovaVision Softare I encounter a tremendous variation and I have colleagues all over the world. I am planning meetings in other countries and for example I traveled to Vienna to plan a conference for our business partners,” she says, and mentions how her normal workdays are mainly with marketing and contacts to business partners abroad. PrintVis is marketed, sold and implemented globally by a network of highly-skilled partners in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Christina can often be found in the village church of Gylling, and she points out that in this regard the company has been extraordinarily understanding when she needs time off to pursue her passion for singing, including at funerals which occur during working hours.
